Ennio Morricone’s contributions to film composition are nothing short of colossal.
No one seems to agree on exactly how many scores the composer wrote during the course of his six-decade career—rough estimates are anywhere from 400-500. His radically experimental compositions have captured the energy of a wide range of dramatic films including The Thing, Once Upon a Time in the West, The Mission, The Hateful Eight, and many more.
