How did this room get covered in chocolate?
Artist Ed Ruscha’s “Chocolate Room” is covered in sheets of paper screen printed with chocolate. Let’s take a look at the process!
🍫 First the chocolate is melted
🍫 Then it’s poured onto a giant silk screen
🍫 The chocolate gets pushed across the screen and transferred to the paper
🍫 The sheets of paper then dry until they can be handled
🍫 After they’re dry, they’re installed in layers on the walls
See and smell this delicious new installation on view now at MoMA!
